Health Insurance

All SGU students must maintain adequate health insurance and must confirm coverage if they opt to waive out of the SGU sponsored program.. Citizens of Grenada may choose to waive the health insurance coverage while studying in Grenada; however, health insurance is mandatory whenever courses are taken outside the island of Grenada.

St George's University now has a new health insurance provider for student health insurance, along with a new enrollment and waiver procedure. The new health insurance is offered through Worldwide Expatriate Association : "WEA".

Students will  electronically enroll in or waive out  of the SGU sponsored plan through the WEA web site.  All of our deposited new students  will have access to the WEA website through the MY SGU Member's Center where they should first view plan information before making the election to enrol or waive .
