Housing Information

In Grenada, all entering undergraduate, premedical, and preveterinary medical students are required to live on campus for one year and all entering medical, veterinary medical, and graduate students are required to live on campus for one term. Residents of Grenada are exempt from this requirement.

In the United Kingdom, all entering Keith B Taylor Global Scholar medical students are required to live in University sponsored housing for both terms.

Living on campus provides more opportunities to work and play with other students and faculty than off-campus life, giving you more time to meet people, cultivate relationships with faculty members, and make new friends.  Your education will be enhanced by the opportunity to access study groups, campus activities, the library, and recreational facilities. The initiation and cultivation of these relationships will prepare you for fostering similar relationships throughout your professional career.

You are eligible to seek off-campus housing if you have children and/or pets or if you received special permission through the Housing Office. If you intend to live off campus, you must still return the housing form indicating this and make sure you have obtained the necessary approval.

True Blue Campus Housing
The University offers beautifully designed living space on its True Blue campus, nestled on the windswept peninsula on the southwest corner of Grenada. Various living spaces have been created to provide a wide range of accommodations to best suit the needs of our diverse student community.

All of the True Blue residence halls have central air conditioning. All bedrooms are furnished with beds, chairs, desks, closet space, and bookshelves. Students must provide their own linens. All beds are twin size and standard length. In the case of married suites, the beds are queen size. The common kitchen area is furnished with a refrigerator, cook top, and microwave. Students must bring their own tableware and cutlery. There are laundry facilities in each building.

There is a limited amount of campus residence space for married students. More space is available in off-campus University-approved housing.

KBTGSP Campus Housing
Students enrolling in the KBTGSP are  housed together in the Stephenson Building, which is leased and managed by Northumbria University. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the City Campus and a scheduled stop on the Northumbria University bus service (providing free travel to all students and staff between the two Newcastle campuses), Stephenson is a converted and refurbished six storey apartment building with lift access to all floors.
