Student Health Clinic

University Health Services (UHS) provides a wide variety of services to the University community: students, families, faculty and administrative staff members. Primary health care, off-hours urgent and non-urgent care and referrals to local physicians and to SGU Counseling Services are provided by UHS.

University Clinics
Grenada Clinic Location
The clinic is located on the lower True Blue campus. It is on the bus route to and from campus.

Hours of Operation

The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with an hour off for lunch (depending upon patient traffic). Physicians are in attendance from 9 AM to 12 Noon and from 2:30 PM– 4:30 PM. Vaccinations are administered in the afternoons. Routine blood work is drawn on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:30 AM-11:30 AM.

Off Hours

A Physician and a Physician Extender are on call from 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. These providers can be reached by calling the Resident Assistant – if you are an on-campus student – or by contacting campus security if you are off-campus at 444-3898 or 3883 or 4456 or 777.

Acute Care

All acute care cases are referred to the Grenada General Hospital or to a local private clinic. Occasionally, cases are referred to Trinidad, Barbados, or to the United States.

Service Costs
UHS services are free for SGU students, faculty, administrative staff and their immediate families. Laboratory work sent out, medications and vaccinations are charged to the patient at cost.
