Welcome Back to St. George's University's online admission application

If you did not read the instructions when you created your online application User Account, please do so now. Applicants who read the entire set of instructions are most successful in completing the online application process.

Each day during the hours of 11:00PM - 11:30PM (EST) the SGU Online Application is unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. If you try to log-on to the application during this time you will get an error message stating "Service Temporarily Unavailable". Please keep in mind that, if you are working in your application at this time, you will lose your connection and will not be able to access your account until after 11:30PM (EST).

 

 

 

Getting Started

LOGIN AND PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN)

If you are a returning user enter the Login ID and six number PIN you created previously and then select Login. Please note that the Login ID is case sensitive. If you are unable to access the account you created previously, please contact admission@sgu.edu
If you are a new applicant, you will need to Create your Login ID and PIN

  • Select the First Time User Account Creation link to create a Login ID for entering your admission application.  Carefully read the instructions for creating your Login ID and PIN. 
  • Your Login ID can be up to nine alpha numeric characters and is case sensitive
  • Your PIN must be six numbers.  Enter your PIN again to verify it and then select Login. 
  • Your Login ID and PIN will be needed later, so be sure to keep them for future reference.

IMPORTANT: Access to your User Account will time out if there is inactivity for a period of 30 minutes. If this happens, you will need to enter your Login ID and PIN as a returning user.
Read the information provided before completing each page.  As you move through the application, use the drop down arrow where applicable to see your choices for the data item. 
 

CREATE YOUR APPLICATION

Select the Application Type you wish to complete. If you are unsure of which type to select, please refer to the program guide for a complete list of offerings by application type.  To learn more about the specific program requirements for admission to St. George's University, please refer to the following pages:

Select the Admission Term. When selecting your Admission Term keep in mind that some programs have varied or limited start dates. You can refer to the program guide to review the Admission Terms for all application types.

Complete your full legal name as it appears on your passport and/or birth certificate.

FILLING OUT YOUR APPLICATION

Once you have selected your Application Type and Admission Term, you are ready to fill out your application and will be brought to the Application Checklist.

The Application Checklist is provided to help you complete sections of the application in any order you wish.

InfoThe checklist will display this symbol to indicate what sections you have remaining to complete. 

CompleteThe checklist will update and display this symbol when you have completed a section.
You can go back and edit completed sections up until the point that the application is ready for submission and you select Application is Complete

Helpful Hints

  • Checklist saves your changes and displays the Application Checklist.
  • Continue moves to the next section and saves the section you have just completed.
  • Finish Later saves your changes and displays the Application Menu.
  • Use the Return to Checklist without saving changes link to navigate to different sections.

Your application will time out without saving changes if there is inactivity for a period of 30 minutes. Please keep this in mind and select Finish Later if you pause or are interrupted for a significant period of time when making your entries.

If you attempt to save a section without answering required questions, you will be informed that the section is missing required data and will be shown where:

Your application is complete only when you have provided the required information in all of the sections on the Application Checklist. Once you have completed the online portions of the St. George's University application, you are ready to submit your application.

SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

When you select Application is Complete, your application is submitted and you will be unable to make changes to it. You will receive a one-time only acknowledgement indicating that your application has been submitted. This is the online application Confirmation Page which will have a link for application fee payment by credit card (if applicable) and instructions regarding items required to complete your application.

IMPORTANT: You will not be able to return to the Confirmation Page and must either print immediately or copy and save in a word file to print later. It is suggested that you keep a copy of the Confirmation Page and send a copy with your supporting documentation to facilitate the application process. Please include the Confirmation Page with your application fee if you are paying by check.

IMPORTANT: You should have a credit card available to you when you submit your application so that you can pay your application fee, if applicable, quickly and securely through PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this method of credit card payment.

COMPLETING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

In addition to submitting your online application, you will need to provide supplemental documentation in order for your application to be considered complete. All items should be clearly labeled with the applicant's full legal name and birth date. It is important that you keep photocopies of all application materials as they will be considered property of the university and cannot be returned to you.

The Confirmation Page is program specific and provides a checklist of application requirements. It is recommended that you include a copy of the Confirmation Page when you submit your passport size photo and other items, if applicable, to complete your admission application.

Once your application has been submitted, you will have the opportunity to visit the application summary page using your Login ID and PIN.  This page will give you the status of the online application(s) you have completed. Please allow one business day for your application to be verified and loaded from the time it was submitted and your application fee was paid (if applicable).

You will be able to return to this page to monitor the progress of your application and verify receipt of supporting documentation.
