Katherine Gibson, DVM, PhD, MS
Dr. Katherine Gibson is Associate Professor in the School of Veterinary Medicine. She teaches in several graduate-level courses, including Bacteriology & Mycology.
As a veterinary researcher, Dr. Gibson’s interests involve molecular techniques, particularly polymerase chain reaction, Neorickettsia spp., Anaplasmataceae, obligate intracellular pathogens, bacterial zoonoses and digenetic trematodes.
Dr. Gibson obtained her training at Ohio State Univeristy, earning an MS in 2003, a DVM in 2007, and a PhD in 2011. She also holds a BA degree from Salem College.
