Richard Kabuusu, DVM, MPH

Dr. Richard Kabuusu is an Associate Professor of Public Health and Veterinary clinical Pathology. He is the Director of the Veterinary Public Health Track in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine and Co-course Director for Clinical Pathology in the Department of Pathobiology. Dr. Kabuusu is a Research Fellow of WINDREF, the Windward Research and Education Foundation located on campus, where he coordinates the Afro-Caribbean-Pacific research activities funded by Edulink.
Dr. Kabuusu’s research interests include molecular and infectious disease epidemiology, data management and analysis, historical research, diagnostics and disease mapping. His work has been published in a number of journals and he has presented at several conferences. He is working toward his PhD.
Dr. Kabuusu earned his DVM at Makerere University in 2000, and his MPH at St. George’s University in 2002. He was born in Uganda.
