Theodore Hollis, PhD
Dean, School of Arts and Sciences
Dr. Hollis has served as Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences since 2000, and is responsible for enriching the learning environment for students throughout the various undergraduate programs. He has published more than 100 research papers and abstracts in his field of study, and has mentored over 20 PhD students in physiology and biology.
Prior to joining St. George’s University, Dr. Hollis was a Professor of Physiology in the Department of Biology at The Pennsylvania State University, a position he held for 25 years. He chaired several sections at Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology annual meetings, and he served as a Special Section Reviewer in the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. For two years prior to the appointment of a new departmental head, he served as Acting Head in the absence of the Head of the Department of Biology.
