PHIL201 Moral Philosophy

This course is meant to introduce students to the subject of “Moral Philosophy” (also referred to as “Ethics”) – its meaning and importance, and some of its major dimensions; and examine its historical development from ancient to modern times. Focusing on western ethical thinking from Socrates to the 20th Century, it will explore and examine basic ethical/moral issues and principles that have been of fundamental concerns of philosophers and peoples of all walks of life.
