The candidate will join a dynamic, innovative, and successful faculty team in the Department of Pharmacology, which works in close cooperation with the Departments of Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Clinical Skills. Based on qualifications, he/she will be appointed the position of Assistant Professor in St. George’s University.
The candidate must be able to teach the whole spectrum of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology. He/She is expected to contribute to curriculum review and innovation, scholarly productivity, intramural faculty business, academic activities of learned and professional societies, and regional outreach programs. There is an opportunity for research collaboration with WINDREF, the University-associated scientific resource center.
It would be an advantage if the candidate possesses experience in the development of objective style multiple choice questions, organization of an online course management system including an electronic examination question bank, the advanced use of electronic media for instructional purposes, and experience in developing and administering problem solving exercises for laboratory groups of students using clinical vignettes.
Requirements: PhD or licensed MD, academic training in Pharmacology, substantial experience in teaching Pharmacology to Medical students in an academic environment.
