Family Nurse Practitioner

Experience:

Advance knowledge, skills and proficiency through recent intensive experience in the clinical management of patients with medical illness required. Experience in Education Research and Administration.

Other:

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Knowledge of computer systems, word processing and email applications
• Ability to perform independently and as a member of the health care team
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
• Ability to foster interpersonal relationships, including effective negotiation and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Applies advance nursing and medical theory to the provision of clinical care
• Demonstrates competence to practice autonomously in the implementation of strategies to promote health and prevent illness.
• Utilize expertise to determine the most appropriate treatment options
• Incorporates medical knowledge and advanced nursing knowledge, integrates this knowledge and experiential base into Clinical practice
• Complements physician services in the delivery of comprehensive health care in the University Health Service.
• Participates and contributes to research relevant to practice.
• Participates in professional development of nursing peers and other health professionals.
• Teaching in Nursing Program

Requirements:

• A First Degree in Family Nurse Program required
• Excellent Computer Skills with a working knowledge in Power Point, Excel, Word
• Clinical Experience
• Good communication and Organizational skills
• Ability to be effective team member
