Neuroscience Professor at St George's University and the Keith B Taylor Global Scholar's Program

As part of the curriculum the School of Medicine offers a comprehensive Neuroscience Course. Within the Neuroscience program, the successful candidate will be appointed to a faculty post at an appropriate rank at St. George’s University, Grenada.

Responsibilities include teaching activities such as classroom effort (lectures and small group practical sessions), well-organized preparation, performance in class, student advising, contribution to curriculum review and innovation, scholarly productivity, activities in the affairs of learned and professional societies, and other responsibilities reasonably assigned by the Course Director of Neuroscience / Chair of the Department.

For a suitable candidate there is the opportunity to be assigned the position of an Associate Course Director of Neuroscience, responsible for the organization of the Neuroscience Course within the Keith B Taylor Global Scholar's Programme (KBTGSP) at Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK.  KBTGSP is an international collaborative educational program of Northumbria University and St George's University, Grenada.

The Associate Course Director oversees the general teaching environment of the course on our satellite campus in the UK, including the organization and supervision of the local teaching staff, all forms of student-faculty communication, the organization of an online course management system, timely provision of new exam questions, adherence to the published schedule, and assisting in the administration of examinations.

Requirements: PhD in Neuroscience, or equivalent doctoral degree, and relevant teaching experience, preferably in teaching medical students. Individuals who are, or have been Neurologists or Neurosurgeons and have a strong background in medical education, are strongly encouraged to apply.
