The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
• DVM and preferably a post graduate degree in Veterinary Neuroscience, (MSc and/or PhD);
• Extensive teaching experience in Veterinary Neuroanatomy, Veterinary Neurophysiology as well as extensive teaching and clinical experience in Clinical Neurology is desirable, but not mandatory.
Duties:
• Taking responsibility for the Veterinary Neuroscience Course as Course Director, in particular designing, developing and teaching of four (4) credit course of Veterinary Neuroscience in consultation with the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM), Dept. of Clinical Studies;
• Design, development and conduction of Neuroscience labs;
• Conducting and grading examinations in compliance with the SVM examination regulations;
• Taking responsibility as an advisor of assigned students;
• Participation in the development of the SVM Dept. of Pre-Clinical Studies, the SVM and the St. George's University (SGU);
• Contribution to faculty activities including School or University administration;
• Research interest in Clinical Neurology is desirable for possible future involvement. Cooperative research with other departments possible.
• Salary to commensurate with experience, competitive with US salaries.
• Contract, one (1) year initially, but eligible for renewal.
