Renowned International Graduate Programs
St. George’s University’s Master of Public Health program is accredited by The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), making the University only the fourth non-US institution approved—and the only university in the Caribbean region—holding this distinction. In addition, SGU launched a unique Masters in Business Administration (MBA) online program with a Drucker-designed curriculum offering degrees in Health Sector Management as well as International Business.
Largest Academic Support Services Staff
SGU helps students manage the overwhelming amount of information they have to retain in a very short period of time with its commitment to proactive student academic support services. SGU’s Department of Educational Services is the largest such department in the region; through it, students learn study skills, time management, test-taking skills, and other skills necessary to learn complex, ever-changing scientific material needed as a foundation for professional practice and lifelong learning.

Most Unique Research Opportunities
SGU’s location and variety of dual degree programs provide unique research opportunities in areas such public health, anthropology, ecology, marine and terrestrial biology and ethics. The Windward Island Research and Education Foundation (WINDREF) research institute is on campus. Undergraduate students also have the opportunity to serve as Research Assistants to faculty members working on different projects. This gives an invaluable experience to students as they assist on indigenous projects.

Unique Scholarship Offerings
St. George’s University offers a wide range of scholarship and financial aid opportunities specifically for aspiring Caribbean leaders. There is a wide range of scholarships available for students from Grenada, Caricom, OAS and Commonwealth countries. In addition, there are many merit-based scholarships such as the Caribbean Visionary, which is geared to keeping the best and brightest Caribbean minds in the region. Scholarships are administered through the University’s Student Financial Services department which also helps students through financial counseling and planning to ensure money does not get in the way of students achieving their dreams.
Strategic Affiliations with Academic Institutions and Corporate Partners
St. George’s University has forged a number of affiliations, which convey tremendous advantages to its prospective and current students. Affiliations with regional community colleges allow eligible graduates from these colleges to matriculate seamlessly into their preferred programs at SGU and graduate with bachelor’s degrees in merely two (2) years. SGU students have the ability to enroll in ‘semester abroad’ programs. For example, our affiliation with American University has both a Washington Semester Program and a Graduate Gateway Program, with the latter allowing guaranteed acceptance to master’s programs. SGU’s affiliation with Walt Disney world College Program, allows students to do a six month externship at Disney World, while still pursuing their degrees online. These partnerships allow students to Think Beyond our Caribbean shores and acquire additional experience and training at world renowned institutions.

Our teacher to student ratio in the SAS makes it easy for students to have greater access to their lecturers. Undergraduate students are always comforted by the fact that their class sizes allow for a non-threatening and "family-like" atmosphere. Lecturers have open door policy and are committed to teaching. At SGU, there are greater opportunities to collaborate with your faculty and you will be taught by someone, who will actually know your name. It is an established fact that smaller class sizes correlate highly with increased achievement. The small class sizes along with the numerous tutorial sessions hosted by the Department of Educational Services convey distinct advantages to a St. George’s University Education.
