Why SGU?

If you aspire to study medicine or veterinary medicine and come from Malaysia, SGU could offer you a refreshing alternative to schools in Malaysia as well as give you an international perspective that will prepare you to meet today’s ever-changing medical needs. In today’s competitive academic landscape even students with the right qualifications have no guarantee that a Malaysian medical or veterinary school will accept them. With stringent entry criteria and oversubscription the best candidates will often miss out. St George’s University offers an appealing alternative for Malaysian students.

St. George’s University, Grenada has helped more than 14,000 graduates to practise successfully in over 50 countries around the world, with over 600 students graduating from Asia as of July 2016.

Our medical and veterinary programs have more than 6,000 students, over 2,000 faculty members, and more than 17,000 graduates from more than 140 countries around the world, providing a truly international learning experience for students looking to practise in today’s global medical professions.

SGU students and graduates have come from nearly 20 Asian countries:

Bangladesh, British Indian Ocean Territory, Burma, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam
