Dr. Guerrero received his Med Vet degree in 1993 from the University of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2000 he started his specialization in small animal surgery at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where he completed an internship, and a small animal surgery residency. In 2003 he obtained his Dr. med. vet degree from the University of Zurich for his thesis titled “Advancement of the tibial tuberosity for the treatment of cranial cruciate-deficient canine stifle”.

Between 2005 and 2011 he worked as assistant professor at the Clinic for Small animal Surgery of the University of Zurich, Switzerland and in 2006 he obtained his degree of Diplomate European College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Dr. Guerrero is an active member of the AO-Foundation, and is teaching in AO courses in Latin America and in Europe. He is also active in teaching total hip replacement surgery to small animal surgeons in Europe, Japan, and USA.

Since 2011 he is a Professor of small animal surgery at St. George’s University, Grenada, West Indies.
