The School of Medicine provides students with the skills to develop and improve health care delivery in developing nations and established systems throughout the world. To date, the School of Medicine has conferred degrees to over 7,300 graduates; SGU SOM graduates have practiced medicine in over 45 countries.
Students interested in pursuing the medical degree study in Grenada, and complete their clinical training in an affiliated hospital in the United States or the United Kingdom.
The School of Medicine offers independent and dual graduate degree programs in areas such as public health, microbiology, and clinical anatomy and education.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program will provide the education necessary to meet the increasing demand for quality healthcare professionals in all aspects of today’s society.
SGU programs are enhanced by the presence of the independent research institute, the Windward Islands Research and Education Foundation, located on the True Blue campus.
The Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program combines the excellence of the SGU School of Medicine program with the added bonus of a one-year experience of medical education on the Northumbria University campus in Newcastle, United Kingdom.
This summer program offers an opportunity of a lifetime for high school and college-age students interested in the fields of medicine or veterinary medicine.
