Faculty Development

The Faculty Development Program is based in the Department of Educational Services, and serves all the Schools. It was introduced to ensure that the University’s standard of teaching is continually developed. The Program includes weekly seminars (the regular “Let’s Talk Teaching” sessions), a new faculty orientation program, lecture evaluations, consultations, and ad hoc workshops.

The Program aims to enhance personal and professional development, instructional development, and organizational development of faculty in their roles as teachers, assessors, scholars, administrators, leaders, and persons in their own right, but also acknowledge what the organization wants to achieve.

Faculty are invited to join the orientation and “Let’s Talk Teaching” sessions, visit our “Let’s Talk Teaching” site on Sakai, and make appointments to discuss their personal interests.
