After the first term, students who wish to remain on campus must
enter the housing lottery.* A housing lottery is held in October/November for the Spring semester and again in March/April for the Fall semester.
After the first year, students who wish to remain on campus must
enter the housing lottery.* A housing lottery is held in October/November for the Spring semester and again in March/April for the Fall semester.
In the presence of the Dean and a Student Government Representative, the lottery is drawn for singles and doubles by suites instead of by individuals; therefore, students are asked to submit their forms in groups based on the type of housing they require. If you do not have the required number of students to fill a suite but would like to live on campus, the Housing Office will group and match up all incomplete suites before the lottery is drawn. Results of the lottery and placement in dorms are sent to students’ SGU emails and viewed on SGU housing website.
*Students desiring off-campus housing can obtain a list of University-approved housing from the Housing Office. The University reserves the right to require students to live on campus for the full duration of their stay in Grenada.
Housing opportunities vary at different clinical centers, affiliated hospitals and veterinary clinical locations. In all cases, during the medical and veterinary clinical years, housing is the responsibility of the student. Some affiliated hospitals in the United Kingdom provide single accommodations for students. The student is responsible for the cost of these accommodations.
