St. George’s University is a rapidly growing institution with an internationally recognized medical school, located on the beautiful English-speaking Caribbean Island of Grenada. The University is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor of Microbiology: a recent graduate with at least two years' postdoctoral experience needed. Principal responsibility is quality teaching in team-taught Premedical and Medical Microbiology Courses. Research and/or Teaching experience in Medical Virology required. The Successful Candidate will be expected to mentor graduate students and develop small-scale research projects in his/her field of interest.
Successful candidate must have terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.Sc.) from internationally recognized institution. Responsibilities include lecturing in two team-taught courses: one for Premedical/Pre-veterinary students, and a second-year Medical Microbiology course. Additional duties include mentoring of graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) and the development of graduate research and courses in the person's area of interest
