Assistant Professor, Microbiology – School of Medicine

St. George’s University is a rapidly growing institution with an internationally recognized medical school, located on the beautiful English-speaking Caribbean Island of Grenada. Having recently established several other schools, the University provides a richly diverse and culturally stimulating community, within a familiar American campus environment. 

The University is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor of Microbiology:  a recent graduate with at least two years' postdoctoral experience needed. Principal responsibility is quality teaching in team-taught Premedical and Medical Microbiology Courses. Research and/or Teaching experience in Medical Virology required. The Successful Candidate will be expected to mentor graduate students and develop small-scale research projects in his/her field of interest.

Successful candidate must have terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.Sc.) from internationally recognized institution. Responsibilities include lecturing in two team-taught courses: one for Premedical/Pre-veterinary students, and a second-year Medical Microbiology course. Additional duties include mentoring of graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) and the development of graduate research and courses in the person's area of interest

Salary (in US$) will be commensurate with experience and in line with those of American Universities.
