The program’s curriculum, examination standards, registration and advising of students are all directed by the Premedical Program Office. The program also offers students one-on-one assistance, individual tutor review, study skill/time management referral, and periodic email updates.
SI is provided for undergraduate students who want to deepen their understanding of course material and improve their grades. Students interested in finding out more information about the SI program should go to the DES Resource Page in the SGU Member’s Center.
The SI Writing Fellows program is a curriculum-based approach to teaching writing. The goal is to help students improve writing skills, effectively utilize writing as a learning tool, and writing across disciplines to enhance the learning experience.
Participation in internships and volunteer experiences during the Pre-Medical years has been identified as in important predictor of success later on in medical school. This program assists students with understanding the profession of medicine, and helps students to apply for pre-professional or volunteer opportunities.
