The Large Animal Medicine and Surgery Department Assistant/Associate Professor

The Large Animal Medicine and Surgery Department at St. George’s University (SGU) School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) invites applicants for a full-time Faculty position in Large Animal Medicine. The position will be at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.

The responsibilities of the position include:

  • Didactic course work in ruminant, swine and equine health, as well as participation in large animal clinical skills laboratories.
  • Involvement in ambulatory service for the purposes of teaching and providing service to the agricultural community is also required.
  • Participation in university academic affairs is expected, as well as contributions of scholarly work in research.

The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a positive attitude toward student enrichment in all areas of academic and practical preparatory course work.

Required qualifications include: 

DVM or equivalent degree; MS or PhD; Board certification or board eligibility based on successful completion of residency training program by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
