Camila Dores, DVM, MSc, Ph.D., Diplomate ACVP
Dr. Camila B. Dores is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathobiology. She teaches pathology in the DVM curriculum, provides diagnostics services, and participates in collaborative research. Her areas of interest and research include reproductive pathology, sexual differentiation in turtles, comparative biology, toxicology and stem cells.
Dr. Dores earned her DVM from Sao Paulo State University in 2005. After graduating, Dr. Dores obtained a Master’s degree studying equine embryonic stem cells and worked as a small animal clinician. In 2010, she attained a Ph.D. in Comparative Biology, and Experimental Medicine at the University of Calgary followed by a pathology residency at Oregon State University. In 2019, Dr. Dores passed the American College of Veterinary Pathology Board Examination.
