Professional Expertise, Interests and Research Areas:

Chérisse Mahabir-Cletus is currently an instructional designer in the School of Veterinary Medicine. She joined St. George’s University in 2018 as a Learning Strategist and Instructor. Her research interests include: the integration of technology to support student learning, learning strategies support, faculty development, online learning, instructional design and development, universal design, inclusive learning,  adult learning in the online environment, and human performance technology.

 

Personal Background and Interests:

As a life-long learner, Dr. Mahabir-Cletus completed her EdD specializing in Instructional Systems Technology and Adult Learning. She wears several hats as an instructional designer, educator, learning technologist, academic coach and consultant. She has a wealth of experience in instructional design, learning technologies, and learner support, in both academic and corporate settings. Dr. Mahabir-Cletus also holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems (Hons), and a Post-Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning. Driven by her passion for integrating technology into the teaching and learning process, Dr. Mahabir-Cletus successfully completed her MS in Education specializing in Instructional Systems Technology.
