Assistant Professor

Dr. Emily Turitto is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, and a faculty advisor for the One Health One Medicine, Animal Welfare Behavior, and Mini Vet programs. Dr. Turitto’s focus is in small animal surgery with special interests in oncology and shelter medicine. She is also very involved with TVT research and continues to look at the expression of multidrug resistance proteins in transmissible venereal tumors and the effects of vincristine.

Dr. Turitto received her DVM from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and attended Louisiana State University for her clinical year. She earned her BSc from the University of North Dakota and is currently pursuing her MSc in Aquatic Animal Medicine.
