St. George’s University, in association with Ramaiah Group of Institutions, is offering medical aspirants from India and around the world the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized degree and practice medicine in over 50 countries around the world, including the US, UK, Canada, and India. The degree pathway offers high school graduates (10+2), the opportunity to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree via a 5-year pathway, and experience a range of healthcare systems in different countries:
Study in India, UK, US, and Grenada The first year of the pathway is spent at Ramaiah in India, the second year can be completed in either the UK at Northumbria University campus in Newcastle or at SGU's purpose-built campus in Grenada. The third year is spent at SGU in Grenada, and the last two years doing clinical rotations either in the US or UK.
International Medical Qualifications
On successful completion of the first year, students will be awarded a Certificate of Higher Education in Medical Sciences by Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, on successful completion of the third year, eligible students who meet the qualifying criteria will be awarded a Bachelor of Medical Sciences with Honors by Northumbria University, and on graduation a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree awarded by SGU.
Get a Globally Recognized Degree
The Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree issued by SGU is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), as well as in the US, UK, Canada and other countries. SGU has over 17,000 MD graduates (including 300+ alumni from India) who practice medicine in more than 50 countries around the world. SGU graduates have been licensed to practice medicine in all states of the US.
Easier Transition to Studying Abroad
Spending the first year at Ramaiah in Bengaluru will allow the aspirants to build strong relationships with other students in their cohort before moving abroad together as a close-knit group in the second year.
