Dr. Ganesh Pathare is an Assistant Professor at Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology within School of Veterinary Medicine. His area of expertise is in molecular physiology, with a special emphasis on kidney physiology. His research focuses on unravelling new mechanisms in renal electrolyte and mineral homeostasis. He also explored the area of pathophysiology of chronic kidney disease and salt-sensitive hypertension. Prior to joining SGU, Dr. Pathare worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bern, Switzerland. There, he performed research in the field of urinary exosomes and also developed passion for teaching.
Dr. Pathare earned his BVSc degree in Veterinary Medicine from Nagpur Veterinary College, India in 2009. Later on, in 2013, he received PhD in Physiology from University of Tuebingen, Germany.
