“The way they prepared us for these exams, the way they cared about our education, and how they tailored it toward our success in the USMLE exams and towards our transition to the residency and fellowships and jobs in the United States. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it at St. George’s University.”

Hear from SGU Graduates

Dr. Ahmed Hussein

“Coming from the Middle East, I didn’t have much information about the US healthcare system, which is very different from Egypt and the UAE (where I used to work). So, to be able to integrate myself into this system, I was looking for a medical school with a great track record of graduates matching with US hospitals. I did my clinical rotations at Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York. I had a wonderful experience rotating between different departments during my core rotations as well as my electives.”

Anuraag Baxi MD

“With the clinical rotations down the line, you will find yourself rotating in hospitals with other students from American medical schools, which only goes to show that the experience you are receiving is exactly the same.”

Souzan El-Chazli

“SGU opened the road for me to become the primary care physician I really wanted to be. I had the opportunity to participate in Grenadian healthcare, so that gave me the international medical experience. It is also worth mentioning the valuable experience in US clinical rotations. I rotated with many physicians and residents who were willing to share their knowledge, which helped in shaping my passion for family medicine.”

Joseph El-Khoury

“The experience of working and studying in other countries and health systems was invaluable. SGU was an important and solid steppingstone for me. It was an incredible mix of a studious and serious academic environment alongside Caribbean sunsets, wonderful food, and beautiful scenery. I took great pleasure in learning from the SGU professors, who had so much knowledge to share. It was a stimulating educational experience.”
