We are also one of the few schools in the world accredited by both the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA COE) in the United States and Canada, as well as the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in the United Kingdom.
Student-centered education
Even before school starts – through graduation – we proactively reach out to students to provide academic and emotional support resources from a vast team of coaches and counselors. We are committed to helping students succeed academically and for key veterinary medical milestones like the NAVLE. While enrolled at SGU, students have the opportunity to participate in research, as well as, join any of the 65+ student organizations, including 16 specific to veterinary students.
Commitment to innovation
Students receive hands-on training from day one, better preparing them for their clinical training at one of SGU’s affiliated schools of veterinary medicine in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and Grenada. Our campus is home to a modern large-animal facility, marine station, and the SGU Small Animal Clinic, which serves more than 1,200 residents and handles close to 200 patients each week.
