Discover SGU for Yourself with the SeeSGU Program
Choosing the right school is a major decision—and we believe there’s no better way to make that choice than by experiencing our campus firsthand. Eligible accepted students will receive a campus visit with covered travel and accommodations (see What’s Included and eligibility requirements below).
Through our SeeSGU Campus Visit Program, eligible accepted students1,2 are invited on a 4-day, 3-night trip to visit our Grenada campus as our guest with covered travel and accommodations, where they can connect with current students, attend classes, explore the island, and experience life at SGU firsthand.
What to expect during your visit:
- A campus tour led by a current SGU student
- The opportunity to attend a lecture and small group session (when available)
- An escorted half-day tour of Grenada
- Time to connect with current students and learn about life at SGU
- Visits to campus dining locations, the bookstore, and our coffee house
What’s Included?
The SeeSGU Program includes:
- Round-trip airfare to Grenada
- Ground transportation to and from the Grenada airport
- Three nights of accommodations with daily breakfast
- Restaurant vouchers for local dining
- Shuttle transportation between your hotel and campus
- A half-day escorted island tour
- Covered travel and accommodations are available only for eligible accepted students3 (see eligibility requirements below)
What will I be able to do and experience once I am on campus?
All visitors will be given a 90-minute escorted walking tour of campus. All tours are led by a current SGU student. Tours include classrooms, study spaces, clinical facilities, labs, housing, food options, the Fitness Centre and the University bookstore. Whenever possible, students will attend a lecture as part of their visit. Students will be treated to lunch on campus and a visit to our coffee shop, Rituals.
Who is eligible1?
1Accepted students1,2 who are residents of the U.S. or Canada and have been accepted into SGU’s 4-year MD program are eligible to participate. If you do not meet the criteria for the SeeSGU program, we still encourage you to visit campus. Please contact SeeSGU@sgu.edu before making travel arrangements to confirm tour availability. Tours are typically offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, excluding holidays. If you are a resident of U.S. or Canada and are accepted and matriculate into SGU’s 4-year MD program at SGU within 12 months of your visit, we will reimburse you for reasonable airfare and hotel costs for your SeeSGU visit, subject to submission of receipts and any applicable reimbursement terms provided at the time of matriculation.
2Florida Residents: Students who are residents of the State of Florida must be admitted and have paid a seat deposit to be eligible for a complimentary visit.
3Additional Information: Campus visit eligibility for students with a provisional acceptance is determined by the conditions of their admission. Students should consult with their Admissions Officer to determine whether any admission requirements must be satisfied before participating in a campus visit.
4Additional attendees (e.g., family, friends) must pay separately for their travel and accommodations.
SeeSGU visits are offered on select dates and are subject to availability. Certain blackout periods apply and visit opportunities may be limited or unavailable as the student’s entering term approaches. SGU cannot guarantee alternate travel dates if a student is unable to participate during the available visit windows.
How do I request a visit?
Once you are accepted, you will receive an email from our Dean inviting you to visit campus. The email will include a link where you can indicate your preferred travel dates, subject to available visit windows and blackout periods.
