Attend an EventSt. George’s University, founded in 1976, has grown into an international hub of education on Grenada, welcoming students from 140 countries to its True Blue campus. The University programs are accredited and approved by many governing authorities, and SGU is affiliated with educational institutions worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands and Ireland.

Earth Day just got bigger at SGU. 🌍♻️
We’re proud to launch our brand new campus recycling program starting today, April 22. To begin, we’re collecting plastic bottles only, so keep it simple: Empty it. Crush it. Toss it. 💚
We’ve installed 20 recycling bins and 60+ water refill stations across campus, making it easier than ever to choose reusable bottles.
Together, we can build a cleaner campus and a greener Grenada. 🇬🇩♻️
SGU’s Research Day brought together record-breaking participation from faculty, staff, regional partners, and secondary school students across Grenada for a celebration of innovation and discovery.
A standout moment was the keynote by Dr. Jonathan Noël on the future of robotic surgery and telesurgery, showcasing how technology is transforming patient care. 🩺
Research Day reflects SGU’s commitment to advancing knowledge and preparing the next generation of leaders in medicine, science, and beyond.

For Helssy Almanzar Pichardo, the path to veterinary medicine started early. Before she could speak, she was already mimicking animals. 🐾
Originally from the Dominican Republic and raised in Upstate New York, she has always felt called to care for animals and make a wider impact.
Now a Term 1 School of Veterinary Medicine student, she chose SGU for the opportunity to study in the Caribbean and hopes to one day become an ER veterinarian, and is excited about the @sgu_sveccs and @sgusvmsurgeryclub on campus.

Every aspect of our MD program and tracks are intentionally designed to support you on your path to becoming a physician.
Flexible Start Dates: Choose from multiple entry terms in August, January, or April to begin your medical education at your convenience.
Average of 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 residency placement rates. Residency placement rate is defined as the total number of students/ graduates who obtained a US residency divided by the total number of students / graduates who applied to a US residency program in a given year as of October 2024.
