Bio
Dr. Kaur earned her MBBS and MD in Dermatology from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, India. Her postgraduate research focused on allergic contact dermatitis, with particular emphasis on patch testing and the immunopathogenesis of contact allergies. This work established her enduring interest in the connections between dermatology, immunology, and systemic disease.
Dr. Kaur has over seven years of experience as a medical educator and currently serves as Chair and Content Manager of Pathophysiology at St. George’s University School of Medicine. In this role, she leads curriculum development, assessment design, and faculty coordination to ensure that foundational science concepts are effectively integrated with clinical application. Her teaching portfolio spans multiple organ systems, including cardiology, hematology, renal, dermatologic, hepatopancreatic, and multisystem disorders, with a strong emphasis on linking mechanisms of disease to clinical reasoning.
An award-recognized educator, Dr. Kaur has received multiple faculty commendations for exceptional student evaluations (Fall 2023–Fall 2025) and was honored with the Student Government Association Outstanding Teacher Award for Terms 3–5 (Spring 2024) at St. George’s University. Her teaching focuses on active learning, diagnostic reasoning, and helping students translate complex pathophysiologic concepts into clinical understanding.
Her research interests extend beyond dermatology to include the pathophysiology of hematologic and immune-mediated diseases as well as scholarship in medical education. She is particularly interested in developing evidence-based strategies that enhance diagnostic reasoning, active learning, and long-term knowledge retention in medical students. Through her dual background in clinical dermatology and medical education leadership, Dr. Kaur aims to advance both disease-focused research and innovations in medical education that better prepare future physicians.
