    Bio

    Dr. Narindra Roopnarine completed the DVM degree in 2016 at the University of The West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. He has practiced as a small animal veterinary clinician in Trinidad, and at SGU’s Small Animal Clinic. He then pursued a masters program in Veterinary Anatomy, and in 2021 graduated while achieving several publications.

    Dr.Roopnarine has been an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Anatomy for the past few years at the School of Veterinary Medicine, St George’s University. He is an integral member of the SVM’s new curriculum design team and has made meaningful contributions to the new DVM program. Dr. Roopnarine is very enthusiastic and passionate when delivering lectures and lab sessions of the courses. He has been conducting research on the reproductive biology of male birds, including sperm structure and spermiogenesis, structure and function of the excurrent ducts of the testis of birds, as well as the structure and function of the male reproductive organs in local iguanas.

    You can definitely find him on the beach or at the gym, as he believes in a well-balanced lifestyle, and all-roundedness. He is as Assistant Instructor of kickboxing.
