Biography
Dr. Shellon Thomas is a Lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry in the School of Medicine at St. George’s University in Grenada. She currently serves as Course Director for BIOL320 (Genetics) course. Her responsibilities are centered around maintaining an environment for learning during the first year of medical school in courses such as Biochemistry and Genetics. This includes facilitating and assessing learning while monitoring educational progress. She is also involved in developing and supervising facilitator led small groups, simulation labs, and formulation of integrated clinical cases. Her research interests span Genetic and enzyme defects, Medical Education, and faculty development.
