The 7-year preveterinary entry point into our Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree program is designed for high-performing students who are ready to prepare for a career in veterinary medicine.
During this first year of the St. George’s University preveterinary track, your coursework focuses on fundamental science education in chemistry and biology.
SGU’s 7-year entry point offers a solid foundation to prepare you for the rigorous veterinary medicine education experienced during the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree program.
Dual BSc/DVM Degree Option
By entering SGU’s 7-year preveterinary program, you may be eligible to earn a Bachelor of Science on your way to completing your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. The BSc/DVM option allow you to complete your undergraduate degree in three years of undergraduate and preveterinary medical courses.
Program Entry Qualifications
- Passes in GCSE Ordinary Levels (or the equivalent) in mathematics, science, biology, chemistry, English, and at least one other subject.
Or
- High school diploma (or the equivalent) with a strong GPA in science and SAT scores.
