Dr. Abid Ali Bhat is an Instructor within the Small Animal Clinic Department in the school of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Abid has worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Gondar, Ethiopia (2017-2021) and in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine at Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, Punjab, India. Dr. Abid has also worked at a Small Animal Practice in Kashmir, India (2021-2024).
Dr. Abid earned his BVSc from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir, India (in 2008) and MVSc from Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh KV, Palampur, HP, India (2011). Dr Abid earned his PhD from Tamil Nadu University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, India in 2016. During his PhD, he has worked on “Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy” (CRRT) in dogs with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI).

Dr. Abid is highly passionate about small animal practice. His research interest areas are Small Animal Nephrology, Gastroenterology, and Emergency Critical Care. Dr. Abid is having more than 20 publications in various journals.

Dr. Abid is a life-member of Indian Society For Veterinary Medicine (ISVM) and Indian Society For The Advancement of Canine Practice (ISCAP).
In his spare time, Dr. Abid likes to read and observe the nature.
