Dr. Allison Stewart became a Diplomate in Large Animal Surgery in 2002 after completing her residency at Cornell University. At Cornell University she also completed her
Master of Science in research evaluating progenitor cells to heal cartilage, tendon, and bone. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. She is interested in shaping the future of Veterinary Medicine through teaching and research at St. George University. Dr. Stewart has worked in both academic and private practice environments. Both have contributed significantly to her experience and teaching. She has published in JAVMA, AJVR, Vet Surgery as well as JOR. Her research presentations and publications have been focused on translational medicine that has both veterinary and human relevance. Her emphasis on training veterinary students is directed at shaping the future of Veterinary Medicine.
