Professional Expertise, Interests and Research Areas

Dr. Christiane Jordan is an Instructor in the Anatomy Department in the School of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree with Honors from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad in 2016.

Prior to joining SGU, Dr. Jordan worked with private small animal practices and shelter clinics in Barbados and has been a member of the Barbados Veterinary Association since graduation.

Since then she has also worked at SGU’s Small Animal Clinic for almost 4 years starting from 2019 as a visiting professor before joining as full time faculty in 2021.

Her clinical interests include Clinical Skills, Anatomy, Parasitology, and Ophthalmology. During Veterinary school she completed a retrospective research project exploring antimicrobial resistance in Trinidad & Tobago. She aims to complete her MSc. while at SGU.

Personal Background and Interests

  • Is an avid baker and cake decorator in her free time.
