Mr. Irfan Ahmad Khan is a Demonstrator in the Department of Large Animal Medicine and Surgery. Mr. Khan assists with teaching various large animal clinical skills labs in the DVM curriculum and serves as a co-course director of LAMS 501 (Vet Physical Diagnosis II). Prior to joining SGU, Mr. Khan worked as a farm manager for several years overseeing day-to-day operations of a commercial dairy farm. His previous work experiences include volunteering as a research assistant in the Department of Physiology and Climatology at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute and working as a Customer Relationship Officer at the Hinduja Global Solutions. His interests include large animal farm management, teaching and research.

Mr. Khan earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Kashmir in 2014 and his Master of Science from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in 2018. Owing to his passion for pedagogy, Mr. Khan also earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Kashmir in 2020. In addition, he has completed a certificate course in Dairy Farming at the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
