    Bio

Dr. Mohamed Idries is a clinical lecturer in the department of Biochemistry with a deep interest in clinical research at the intersection of cardiology, oncology, and genetics. In cardiology, Dr. Idries is particularly interested in the mechanisms underlying heart failure, arrhythmias, and ischemic heart disease. Precision medicine and risk stratification represent areas of growing importance, and aims to contribute to research that refines diagnostic strategies and optimizes therapeutic decision-making. In oncology, Dr. Idries is motivated by the rapid progress in targeted therapies and immuno-oncology. The role of genetic and molecular profiling in guiding cancer treatment highlights the need for strong collaboration between laboratory science and clinical practice.
