    Bio

    Neisha Salfarlie is the SVM Academic Enhancement Program & Peer Learning Groups Coordinator within the Department of Educational Services (DES). She has a strong record of designing and leading student-centered initiatives that enhance learning, performance, and Clinical/professional readiness. She holds two graduate degrees: a Master of Education in Curriculum, Pedagogy and Leadership and a Master of Business Administration in Multi-Sector Health Management, bringing an interdisciplinary approach to higher education that bridges academic strategy, student development and systems-level improvement.

    In her current role, Neisha leads the coordination of large-scale academic support programming, overseeing peer learning structures, student facilitator development, and targeted student interventions for the School of Veterinary Medicine. Her work is grounded in data-informed decision-making, drawing on longitudinal performance trends, student feedback, and cross-functional collaboration with faculty and institutional leadership to design responsive and scalable academic support systems.

    Through her work, Neisha remains committed to advancing holistic, evidence-based approaches to student development that empower learners to navigate rigorous academic environments and achieve long-term professional growth.

    Professional Philosophy

    Neisha’s professional philosophy centers on the belief that effective student support extends beyond access to resources. It requires intentional design, reflective practice and alignment between academic structures and student needs. She is particularly interested in the intersection of student resilience, academic identity and performance. She is curious about and intends to explore future research in areas such as peer learning efficacy, student transition experiences and the role of lived experience in shaping academic persistence and success.
