Nelson Troy Davis, BSc

Nelson is a young professional currently serving as the Lab Director of the Human Anatomy Lab. With over five years of experience in dissection and teaching, he helps manage the lab’s day-to-day operations, which include caring for and coordinating dozens of donor bodies, supporting faculty and student dissections, and assisting lab staff. This role involves a mix of technical knowledge, organization, and leadership, which he strives to apply thoughtfully and carefully.

Over the years, he has had the opportunity to develop and lead educational sessions aimed at supporting students’ learning. He has taught lab sessions, dissection selectives, and histology techniques for the campus pathology club. These experiences have allowed him to assist students in gaining a deeper understanding of human anatomy and pathology, helping to connect classroom learning with practical skills.

Alongside teaching, he was involved in various research projects with faculty and students, contributing where he could support ongoing scientific work. Collaborating on these projects has been a valuable way to engage with research and contribute to both personal growth and the broader goals of the lab.

He tries to approach his work with attention to detail and a strong work ethic, aiming to maintain high standards in lab management and education. His hope is that this contributes to a positive and productive environment for everyone involved in the lab.
