Rohan Cummings

Rohan Cummings received his medical education at St. George’s University (SGU) in Grenada. He is now a lecturer at SGU. His primary role is the co-Program Director for the Premedical

Program. Other roles include assessment reviews, environmental scanning, curriculum development, academic appeals, student support services, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives. In addition to his teaching and leadership roles, he is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Epidemiology.

He has contributed to several institutional committees, including the Committee on Academic Progress and Promotion (CAPPS). He works closely with academic deans and registrars on issues such as student attrition, resilience, and progression metrics. Dr. Cummings is passionate about medical education, public health, quality controls of assessments, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the medical curriculum. He is also deeply engaged in research projects that explore geriatric public health. Additionally, he is currently working on systematic reviews on  SARS-CoV-2 and Parkinson’s Disease Risk, and Global Evidence on Lead Contamination in Spices.

With this multidisciplinary background, Dr. Cummings brings a unique blend of clinical, academic, and research expertise. He mentors students and junior faculty, and remains committed to improving health outcomes through education, research, and policy. His current scholarly work bridges clinical education, AI innovation, and public health systems thinking.
