Biography
Odran Edwards is a Demonstrator in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at St. George’s University, Grenada. Has keen interest in advancing environmental health research. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering and a master’s degree in occupational and environmental health and has worked closely on climate change initiatives for over a decade through the UNFCCC Regional Collaborating Center for the Clean Development Mechanism and stakeholder engagement on Standardized Baselines for carbon emission reduction credits. Serves as a committee member of Grenada’s Environment Statistics Advisory Committee to provide guidance for the use of national environmental statistics. Has interest in occupational and environmental health, with publications including Nutrient concentrations in surface and subterranean water sources in the Southern Region of Grenada and Climate and dengue transmission in Grenada for the period 2010–2020: Should we be concerned? Is convinced that understanding environmental impacts is crucial for protecting human health.
