Dr. Trevor Paul Noel, PhD, MPH, FRSPH

Biography
Dr. Noel have served as Principal investigator and co-investigator to numerous NIH and Independent research projects involving faculty and supervising students which have been published in scientific journals and presented at international conferences. Dr. Noel completed his undergraduate reading at University College Cork, Republic of Ireland. His BSc reading was in Zoology and Statistics. He has completed both an MPH (Policy) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program (Microbiology with a subspecialty of Parasitology) from St. George’s University. He has served on the supervisory committee of more than 30 MSc., MScBR students. He has taught in Medical Parasitology courses both in Grenada and Northumbria University. he has additionally attained Fellowship from the Royal Society of Public Health. He is an Honorary member of the Gamma Kappa of the Delta Omega Society. He has served as Director of Field Studies in the Office of Research in the School of Graduate Studies from 2017. In this role, Dr. Noel has acted as liaison for several grants and official procedures between Government of Grenada Ministries and Grantees, Grantors. He has facilitated and worked on grants from Rockefeller University, Stanford University, United Nations, FAO, European Union, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Johnson and Johnson, FCCA, Mainland China Government, World Health Organization and Pan American Health Organization. He has performed key roles in the SGU/ Community in mitigation of Obesogenic factors, CHIK V, ZIK V, Dengue to name a few. Most recently in the areas of the National COVID — 19 laboratory, contact tracing and vaccine emergency response, Neglected Tropical Diseases, Dengue and Climate Change resilience. He has run three national control programs (two in Grenada and one in St. Vincent and the Grenadines). He is currently the Director of Field Studies in the Office of Research and the Assistant Provost at SGU with the responsibility for the coordination of reporting Research and Scholarly Activity for all schools at SGU.
