Your Questions, Covered
Is there any cost during the trial period?
You will be responsible for the cost of living expenses, including books, travel, housing, food, and health insurance during the trial period. Tuition and fees are deferred until after the trial period has ended and are only charged if you decide to continue on with the MD program.
Am I eligible for loans during the trial period?
You are not initially eligible for federal loans during the trial period as you are not considered “enrolled” for federal loan purposes. You may be eligible for private or institutional loans during this trial and should consult your financial aid counselor for more information. Upon successful completion of the 14-week trial, US citizens/PRs will become eligible for federal loans for the entire trial period and the remainder of the 4-year MD program.
Will I be eligible for scholarships?
Enrollment in MDReady does not impact your scholarship eligibility. Once you successfully complete the 14-week trial and fully matriculate into the MD program, you will become eligible for all applicable scholarships.
What if I decide a career in medicine isn’t the right fit for me?
If, after the 14-week trial period, you decide not to fully enroll in the MD program, there will be no impact on your academic record and no financial obligation holding you back. No academic credit will be awarded, no tuition or fees will be charged, and no loans or aid will be processed.
MDReady adds confidence to your medical school journey.
