Eligibility*
Applicants who submit a complete 4-Year MD application on or before December 31, 2025 (other scholarships may also apply).
Individuals transitioning into the 4-Year MD program and have been out of college or university for at least one or more years.
SGU offers terms starting in January, April, and August.
Start as soon as January 2026.
*Only students accepted directly into the 4-Year Doctor of Medicine are eligible to receive the New Year New Career Scholarship. Provisionally accepted students are not eligible.

Flexible Start Dates: Choose from multiple entry terms in January, April, or August to begin your medical education at your convenience.
Average of 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 residency placement rates. Residency placement rate is defined as the total number of students/ graduates who obtained a US residency divided by the total number of students / graduates who applied to a US residency program in a given year as of October 2024.
