Attend an EventSt. George’s University, founded in 1976, has grown into an international hub of education on Grenada, welcoming students from 140 countries to its True Blue campus. The University programs are accredited and approved by many governing authorities, and SGU is affiliated with educational institutions worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands and Ireland.

Meet the chair of SGU`s Department of Surgery, James Rucinski, MD, FACS, FACEP, who nurtures talent and growth of SGU clinical students at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
A gifted physician who is equally passionate about teaching, Dr. Rucinski shares more about his role, his goals for clinical education, and advising for incoming and current clinical students. Link in bio!

🥼🐾 Meet Dr. Kerri Nigito, a proud SGU alumna, who’s main goal is to support student success and inspire future veterinarians.
As an assistant professor and the assistant dean of student affairs in the School of Veterinary Medicine, she encourages students to have an open mind and to look out for each other.

SGU recently hosted the InciSioN Global Surgery Symposium (IGSS) 2025 (@igss_incision @incisiongnd). The three-day conference brought participants together to exchange ideas, build skills, and collaborate on solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in surgical care with a mix of workshops, keynote lectures, and panel discussions covering topics such as hurricane triage, innovations in surgery, digital advocacy, career development, and residency preparation.
