Can I apply for multiple positions at the same time?
Yes, you are welcome to apply for as many positions that you are qualified for.
Can I track my application status once submitted?
Our application software does not allow for online application tracking. However, we will communicate with you once your application has been received, if you have been shortlisted for interview, and whether or not you have been selected for the position. You are welcome to email HR@sgu.edu for an update about your application for a staff position or FacultyRecruitment@sgu.edu for a faculty position.
Do I have to create a profile before submitting my application?
First-time applicants are required to create a profile prior to submitting an application and uploading documents. At the top of the current job openings page, click on the “Create Profile” link and follow the instructions. If you had previously created a profile for a job application, click on “Sign In” next to the “Create Profile” link and enter your credentials to apply.
Do I need a work permit to work in Grenada?
Yes, foreign nationals must receive government permission to work in Grenada. The university will assist you in procuring the necessary permit to work once you have been offered a position. You can learn more about the work permit process on the Government of Grenada website.
How can I be notified when new positions become available?
Stay connected with us via LinkedIn and create a job alert so that you are notified once new jobs that match your interest are posted on our site.
How do I apply?
- Go to Employment Opportunities at the bottom of the SGU.edu home page
- On the Employment landing page, select Faculty Opportunities or Staff Opportunities based on the type of position you are seeking to apply for
- Under Current Openings, click on the position that you are interested in applying for
- A landing page will open with the details of the position.
- Click on the Apply Now button at the top or bottom right of the page and follow the prompts.
How do I know what jobs are currently available?

How long does it take to get a work permit?
It can take up to 5 weeks for issuance of a work permit.
How long does it take to process an entry clearance letter?
Entry clearance processing time can take up to 2 months or more, depending on factors such as response time between the Government of Grenada and your country of origin and the duration of a background check.
I am having difficulty in submitting my application or application documents.

I am unable to sign-in to my profile using my email and password. What should I do?

I made a mistake on my application and want to be able to edit it. What do I do?
Once an application has been submitted there is no way to edit it. If you would like to submit additional or updated documents to support your application contact HR@sgu.edu (staff positions) and FacultyRecruitment@sgu.edu (faculty positions). It is recommended that before you click Submit on your application, you go back and ensure that all information has been entered correctly.
Is there an email address that I can send a general letter of application to?
For fairness in our recruitment process, we only accept applications for specific vacancies that are posted on our Career Page.
What are the visa requirements for Grenada?
If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Grenada, the university will obtain an entry clearance letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate your travel to Grenada, at which time you will be issued the appropriate visa. Applicants are required to pay all fees for the visa, once issued.

Who do I address my cover letter to?
Most likely multiple individuals will review your application materials. Your cover letter can be addressed “To Whom it May Concern”, “Dear Search Committee” or a similar salutation.
Would the university assist in getting Grenada visas for my family if I were to be offered a position?
The university can assist with obtaining visas for your family by obtaining the necessary entry clearance letters from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate travel to Grenada. Applicants are required to pay all fees for visas, once issued.
