    Bio

    Dr. Kamashi Kumar is a Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology at the School of Veterinary Medicine. Her teaching experience includes veterinary pharmacology and toxicology, with special emphasis on autonomic and central nervous system pharmacology and veterinary toxicology.

    Dr. Kumar’s major area of research focuses on determining antimicrobial resistance patterns in Grenada, analyzing antioxidant efficacies, and assessing drug toxicity. She has also been involved in evaluating the antimicrobial efficacies of medicinal plants. In 2002, she received the Young Scientist Award at the third annual Conference of the Indian Society of Pharmacology & Toxicology in recognition of her research work on the topic, “Evaluation of the Efficacy of Chromium against Salinomycin Toxicity in Broilers.”

    Dr. Kumar earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Agricultural Sciences in Bangalore, India, in 2004. She completed her MVSc in Veterinary Pharmacology from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad, India, in 2001, and obtained her BVSc & AH degree from Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pondicherry University, India, in 1999.
