Bio
Naline Ramdeen-Joseph is an accomplished tourism specialist and academic with over three decades of experience in lecturing, training and industry practice. A national of Grenada, she currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Business and Management Studies Department at St. George’s University, where she teaches across her areas of expertise: Marketing Principles and Destination Marketing, Travel and Tourism Management, Sustainable Tourism Planning and Development and Quality Customer Service.
Her career bridges both academia and industry. She served as Head of Marketing at the Grenada Board of Tourism for six years, where she developed strategic marketing plans, managed budgets and represented the destination at international trade and media events. In addition, she has provided consultancy and training locally and abroad in marketing, sales, events management and customer service.
Ramdeen-Joseph holds a diploma in Hotel Management, a bachelor’s degree with honours in Tourism Management, and a master’s degree with honours in Tourism Management.
An advocate for sustainable tourism development, she has published extensively on issues shaping the industry and also authored widely read commentaries on tourism and development issues in Grenada, demonstrating her commitment to bridging research, practice and public discourse.
Through her academic and professional contributions, Ramdeen-Joseph continues to play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable tourism practices and shaping the next generation of tourism and hospitality professionals in Grenada and beyond.
